An 11-year-old girl has died in London being found unresponsive in a flat with 'pest control' chemicals. The girl was found yesterday afternoon in a Shadwell tower block, with three other residents also being hospitalised, MyLondon reports .

Sadly, she was taken to hospital in east London, where she died a short time later. Her next of kin have been informed. Police were called at 4:12pm on Saturday (December 12) to the building on Sutton Street, Tower Hamlets.

The building was later evacuated and residents were eventually moved to hotels, where they have been told they will stay for two days.

After the evacuation, the London Fire Brigade swept the building and discovered a 'quantity of chemicals' believed to be used for pest control.
