Fox News Taps Tom Lowell to Be Exec VP of News

Fox News Channel has named Tom Lowell executive vp and managing editor of news. In the new role Lowell will be responsible for managing the channel's daytime news programming.

He reports to Fox News president and executive editor Jay Wallace. Lowell is a 17-year veteran of the cable news channel, Lowell launched America's Newsroom in 2007 with anchors Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly, becoming its executive producer in 2009.

He would go on to launch America Live with Megyn Kelly and the primetime show The Kelly File in 2013.
