Queen's Park sporting director Marijn Beuker hopes to have a new boss 'sooner rather than later', amid shock links to Airdrie legend and former Burnley boss Owen Coyle. The former Diamonds striker is currently manager of Indian Super League side Jamshedpur and won the league title this year.Beuker has been hunting a new boss for the League One club since dismissing Laurie Ellis and lost 2-0 to Airdrie on Saturday.Callum Smith and Dylan Easton goals sealed a comfortable win for Coyle's former side and the one he's been linked to sit fourth in Scotland's third tier.Coyle had multiple spells at the Diamonds as a player, playing over 100 times and also serving as assistant manager.

His highlights as a boss includes guiding Burnley to the English Premier League. It's been reported he is in pole position for the vacant post at Queen's.Responding to the rumours, Beuker said of Coyle and the hunt for a manager: "In the last weeks I have heard several names, and most of them I don't know."That's a good thing as I don't have to react on that.

We are taking our time to make a good decision."I hope it's sooner rather than later because that would allow me to focus on my core business, assessing the team for next season and building the academy."I look forward to the moment a new manager or head coach comes."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
