In fact the pair, who went on to be jailed and were set to work washing socks in prison, had a foot fetish. When police raided their home they found a carpet of smelly socks 18 inches deep - and socks everywhere, including in the microwave, hanging from lampshades and in cooking pots, reports LiverpoolEcho.
