ex RAF officer convicted of abusing his wife after accusing her of cheating is facing being struck off as a solicitor after vowing to fight “injustice” for veterans.

Former wing commander Allan Steele launched a crowdfunder earlier this year in a bid to help him overturn his conviction for shouting and swearing at ex partner Linzi – claiming he was the victim of a miscarriage of justice.

But the 46-year-old is now facing a prosecution by his professional watchdog the Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal after launching his own legal practice for Armed Forces personnel.

The dad, from Giffnock, near Glasgow, said he has hired a top lawyer to fight his tribunal, which was raised due to his criminal record, but would not comment on whether.
