People have been basking in scorching temperatures for weeks now, however, the Met Office have warned of potential flooding and travel disruption as storms are set to move in from tomorrow morning.

Starting with today (Wednesday), the best of any blue skies will be in the southeast, but the odd sunny spell throughout with light rain confined mostly to the north and over the Pennines.

Despite the drizzle setting in, maximum temperatures are set to reach 23C. Things will turn dry into the late evening, but with further showers moving in from the south overnight.
