Elderly couple has everyone in tears as they share video from isolation that has a message for us all

An elderly couple have captured the hearts of millions after a video of them in isolation went viral on social media. Rex Taylor, 86, videoed himself and his wife Selina, 83, singing Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again” from their sofa as they both self-isolate following the latest government advice.

Rex, who used to run a DIY shop with Selina, now cares for hifswife who has Alzheimer’s disease and dementia full-time. The couple, who have been married for 63 years, have stayed inside for two weeks and wanted to cheer up their family and friends by singing a duet of the wartime track.

They then posted the video onto Facebook on Saturday, which was shot in their home in Ripley, Derbyshire and within a matter of days it has been viewed and shared
