Dog biscuits laced with pins found in Glasgow as warning issued to owners

Pet owners are being urged to stay vigilant after dog biscuits laced with pins were found in Glasgow. The Scottish SPCA has launched a major investigation after the grim discovery in the Anderston area of the city.

It is the seventh time dangerous treats have been dumped in the city centre area since March 2018. The latest incident to be reported in the Dorset Square area, just off Dorset Street, took place on June 24.

Scottish SPCA Inspector Kerry Friel said: “We are thankful that no animal has been harmed and we are grateful to the vigilant members of the community who have continuously alerted us to these incidents. “This is the seventh report we have received of dog biscuits with harmful materials in.
