A cause of death has not been revealed. Erick's biggest chart hit I Like To Move It was released under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real.
The song was a huge hit in the UK, peaking at Number 5 and spending 11 weeks in the Official UK Singles Chart Top 10. The track saw a resurgence in recent years after being featured heavily in the Madagascar films.
Erick was facing charges of sexual battery after he was arrested last month. He was accused of sexual battery on a woman in December at his home and turned himself in on August 6.
