David Harbour just gets it. During his appearance at the D23 Expo over the weekend, the 47-year-old actor had the jokes about how long fans will have to wait for the fifth season of Stranger Things. You know, I mean, I know a little bit about where it’s headed and it’s really exciting, but you’ll see it in another 15 years when it’s able to be released when we’ve shot it.” Just a few months ago, creators Ross and Matt Duffer did share details about the pacing and length of episodes for the final season. “It’s almost a two-hour ramp up before our kids really get drawn into a supernatural mystery,” they said. “You get to know them, you get to see them in their lives, they’re struggling with adapting to high school and so forth, Steve’s trying to find a date, all of that.

None of that is obviously going to be occurring [in season 5]… We’re more likely to do what we did here, which is to just have a 2.5 hour episode.” If you missed it, David had some other exciting news to share at D23.
