A mother who covered up abusing her baby son and her husband who murdered him by violently shaking his body are both facing jail.

Mihai-Catalin Gulie caused irreversible brain damage to Robert Ion, who was just six-months old when the attack was carried out on February 18 this year.

Mother Gabriela Ion, was out at the shops when the attack took place but had previously covered up other attacks on baby Robert who was born with Down’s Syndrome.At court this week, prosecutors confirmed that wasn’t the first time dad Guile had attacked his son.
