criminal was caught trying to flee Scotland with suitcases stuffed with nearly a million pounds in cash. Lukas Pokorny was found to have more than £860,000 in notes in the luggage as he flew to Dubai from Glasgow Airport.
The 42-year-old admitted his guilt during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today, pleading guilty to three charges under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
Pokorny, from the Czech Republic, was arrested as part of a joint Police Scotland and National Crime Agency (NCA) intelligence-led investigation into the export of cash from the United Kingdom to Dubai.On Sunday, November 8, 2020, he was stopped and arrested by Border Force officers.A search of three suitcases in his possession revealed a large quantity of cash in.
