Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday made his 181st appearance for Portugal, bettering the European record previously held by Spain's Sergio Ramos.
Ronaldo 's latest records adds to the all-time international goals scored feat last month, which was previously held by Iran forward Ali Daei.
Shortly after his return to Old Trafford earlier this year, Ronaldo equalised in the 89th minute against Ireland to score his 110th goal for Portugal, bettering Daei's record by one.
Ronaldo then scored again deep into stoppage time to complete a sensational comeback for his nation and extend his record to 111 international goals.
