direct to your inboxHolidaymakers looking to travel to Europe may be banned in the New Year. Reports suggest that from January when the Brexit transition period ends, Brits could be prevented from travelling to EU countries.
This is because of coronavirus travel rules which only allow non-essential travel from non-EU countries with low infection rates.
Currently only eight countries outside the EU, including Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, are on a list of 'safe' nations, the Financial Times reports.As well as that, some EU member states do not even allow in travellers from countries on the safe list, with only 12 of the European nations applying the list in full.Due to the UK's coronavirus rate being too high, officials in Brussels.
