people claiming benefits will change over Christmas and New Year. The changes will affect Scottish claimants due to receive Universal Credit, State Pension, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and other DWP-delivered benefits on December 25th and 28th and January 1st and 4th.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has also confirmed there may be changes to Tax Credit payment dates over the holiday period and the Child Benefit office updated its website with the affected dates last month.

The DWP has also confirmed jobcentre festive opening times with important updates for people making a new PIP claim or those with missing or urgent payment queries.
