Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.

The ITV soap was forced to suspend filming in March and cut the number of episodes broadcast due to the coronavirus crisis. Now, Andy Whyment - best known for playing Kirk Sutherland on the ITV show - has revealed the soap will do all it can to hit the ground running when it returns on Monday June 8.
