CORONATION Street is planning a series of documentaries about its best loved legends. The ITV soap is currently shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic with the channel only having enough episodes banked to last until the summer.
It has cut down to just three episodes per week in an effort to stay on air for as long as possible. But now bosses have decided to help plug the gap with a four special episodes looking back at some of Weatherfield's most memorable characters.
The longest-serving character in television history, Ken Barlow is one of the choices while leopard print legend Bet Lynch is another.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "During these difficult times, ITV bosses thought, ‘What better to lift the spirits than some of the most.
