Coldest night in 11 years warning as Perth and Kinross told to prepare for frozen rain

Perth and Kinross for 11 years, according to a Met Office meteorologist. Tom Morgan told the Perthshire Advertiser he reckons you would need to go back to 2010 for a time when the thermometers plunged so low.

The Met Office says the mercury is set to drop to minus 10 degrees Celsius in the city of Perth, and even lower in exposed rural areas.Three yellow weather warnings are in force across the region until Saturday night for snow and snow and ice, as the region shivers.At the recording station at Strathallan Airfield, 18 centimetres of snow was recorded on Tuesday and Wednesday.
