Cheshire pub bans 'casual drinkers' under 21 following 'unacceptable behaviour'

The Cheshire Tavern, in Congleton, is the latest venue to bring in the new rule. Anyone under the age of 21 will only be allowed inside the West Road pub if they are eating, Stoke on Trent Live reports.

The action has been taken ahead of pubs being able to let customers inside for the first time in months from tomorrow (May 17).

In a Facebook post, The Cheshire Tavern said: "Unfortunately going forward The Cheshire Tavern will now be a 21+ venue for drinking. "If you are attending for a meal then exceptions will be made but for casual drinking we will no longer be
