Car in police chase crashes into school playground as children are out on lunch break

A car crashed into a primary school playground after those inside jumped out during a police chase. According to police, the chase started at 12.10pm on Wednesday, on Wall Street in Salford .

The car in question did not stop at the traffic lights and ended up hitting another car. Police chased the vehicle along Fitzwarren Street before it turned into Edgehill Close and eventually Sedgefield Close, Due to the estate being a cul-de-sac, the car came to a dead-end and two people inside jumped out, before the car crashed into the gates at Lark Hill Community Primary School .

It then rolled into the playground while the children were out playing for their dinner break. No children were hurt. A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion
