The collision happened as the person was crossing London Road - outside the Boteega nightclub, in Hazel Grove - on Saturday night (June 5).

They suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital today, but are not in a life-threatening condition. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene of the crash, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say.

Officers are now appealing to the public to come forward with any available dashcam footage, or any information about the collision.
