manchestereveningnews.co.ukdirect to your inboxA boy has been taken to hospital and another arrested after reports of a stabbing at the Edge Lane Metrolink stop in Droylsden.Greater Manchester Police were called to the incident at the tram station at around 8pm on Saturday evening.On arrival they found a juvenile male with injuries.
He was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service before being transferred to hospital.Police said this evening that the boy was in a stable condition and that another boy had been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody.Eyewitnesses said that a large police presence was in place with around ten emergency services vehicles in attendance.Images taken tonight showed a significant police cordon around the scene.
