Cannabis farm worth £200k busted in Wythenshawe as two arrested after being found in loft

direct to your inbox A cannabis farm has been uncovered in Wythenshawe with an estimated street value of up to £200k.

Officers from GMP’s City of Manchester Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant at a house on Grindleton Avenue following reports of unusual activity.Inside the address, officers discovered four rooms being used to grow 90 cannabis plants - some measuring 1.4 metres tall.The plants were estimated to have a street value of £150,000 to £200,000, Greater Manchester Police have said.Following a search of the house, officers found two men hiding in the loft.The men, aged between 20 and 29, have since been arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis and abstracting electricity, after officers discovered the electricity.
