A football-mad schoolboy was rushed to hospital with a damaged heart after suffering a rare complication from coronavirus. Like many children who catch Covid, nine-year-old Cai Price only suffered with a 'slightly runny nose' after testing positive at the start of November.

But four weeks on, the youngster was deeply unwell. And after being taken to hospital, doctors found that he had suffered a complication from Covid which had put his immune system into overdrive.
