Boss of Salford prison quits as government gives management 45 days to improve

As reported in the Manchester Evening News the beleaguered prison was issued with a 45-day improvement notice. The Manchester Evening News understands the "significant concerns and rectification notice" was slapped on the jail two weeks ago by the Ministry of Justice.
