The 25-year-old has been on loan at the University of Bolton Stadium since January from the South Wales side. During that time, he played 21 times for Ian Evatt's men and scored twice as he established himself as first choice left-back and ended the season with helping Wanderers achieve automatic promotion to League One.

His contract at the Liberty Stadium expires this summer as things stand and Wanderers boss Evatt has gone on record as hoping Bolton can sign John on a permanent basis.
