Bolton street turned into aftermath of an 'explosion' as film crews shoot BBC crime drama

Concerned members of the public spotted several emergency services vehicles in Corporation Street, outside Market Place shopping centre, on Tuesday morning.

The street was taped off while debris could be seen strewn across the pavement in front of a row of shops. But rather than being the result of a nasty incident, the dramatic scene was part of filming for the popular television drama Traces, Bolton council confirmed.
