‘Black Widow’ release delayed due to coronavirus

Former Squeeze band member Jools Holland has shared for the first time that he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Jools, 64, admitted that he had “no awareness of prostate cancer” before his diagnosis, and that he found out he had the disease following a routine blood test.The music legend also said he had “no symptoms” of it, and has decided to speak out about his diagnosis in a bid to raise awareness about prostate cancer.

Black Widow has reportedly been set a new release date. Digital Spy is reporting that the movie will arrive in cinemas in the UK on October 28th and the US slightly later on November 6th. This is not unusual for a film to open in the UK earlier that the US as it usually involves logistics around the films’ promotion.

Along with Scarlett, Black Widow also stars Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova who makes her MCU debut with this film.

Disney has decided to shift the film, Black Widow's release from May 1.

However, Natasha Romanoff fans have a reason to celebrate as Scarlett Johansson finally got her well-deserved standalone film with Black Widow. Directed by Cate Shortland, the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Phase 4 film also stars David Harbour, Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz in pivotal roles.

Scarlett Johansson found the perfect successor in her Black Widow costar Florence Pugh, according to director Cate Shortland.“We didn’t know how great Florence Pugh would be. We knew she would be great, but we didn’t know how great,” Shortland, 51, told Empire magazine of the Marvel newbie on Monday, July 6.

Marvel.Black Widow director Cate Shortland has revealed in a new interview that Scarlett Johansson, the incumbent titular assassin (known as Natasha Romanoff when not on duty), will “hand the baton” to Pugh’s Yelena Belova in the forthcoming Marvel movie.Shortland told Empire in an exclusive interview for the magazine’s issue on sale this Thursday (July 9) that the team was blown away by Pugh’s performance. She hinted that a big future is in store for the 24-year-old actress.“[Kevin Feige – MCU president] realised that the audience would expect an origin story so, of course, we went in the opposite direction,” Shortland told Empire.
