Bin strike latest as workers plan to walk out again next week

East Ayrshire residents have been ordered not to put their bins out today.Strike action is set to last until tomorrow but workers have scheduled a second eight-day walkout starting from next Tuesday.Locals have been told not to present their recycling trolleys, garden waste bin, commercial waste bin or household waste bin today.A statement from East Ayrshire Council reads: "Your waste collection service will be affected by industrial action from Wednesday, August 24 up to and including Wednesday, August 31."Please do not put out your recycling trolley for collection.
