Asda slashes costs of period and sanitary products - here's the new prices

Asda has recently slashed the prices across a range of more than 35 period and sanitary products - with some selling for as little as 40p.The supermarket giant has said that they have reduced prices on their period products to make them more accessible to those who need them.The reductions means that shoppers can pick up popular brands such as Tampax and Asda's own-branded products for much less.

Some of the products included in the sale are Asda's Ultra Towels down to 50p and Asda Protect Liners (30pk) are now 40p, reports Wales Online.

A spokesperson at Asda said: “Sanitary and period products are essential items in so many of our customers’ baskets, so we’re proud to have reduced the price on a number of our popular branded and own brand lines, to help make these items more accessible, no matter your budget.”The price reductions comes after the supermarket giant received praise from shoppers for changing the name of its 'feminine hygiene products' to 'period products.'The full list of products and the price reductions are below.
