Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the Shell garage on Chorley Old Road at around 9.35pm on Sunday (June 20).

Shocking footage taken at the scene showed a gang with weapons running across the petrol station. It also appeared to show a car driving dangerously before speeding through the forecourt and hitting a man.

A large cordon was put in place last night with armed police and paramedics all called to the incident. Smashed glass could be seen within the taped-off area as well as debris strewn across the ground.
