In recent weeks he has put in some game-defining performances for the Reds. A couple of weeks ago at Elland Road he was in the thick of the action as United defeated Leeds.
After being hit by an object thrown from the crowd, Elanga scored the all-important fourth goal to seal the three points. Despite this, and other big-name stars in the United dressing room, Shaun Wright-Phillips believes that the 19-year-old would not making it into the City line-up.
