But the new target of July 31 will be seen as a sign of increasing confidence that the coronavirus vaccine supply will remain steady over the coming months.
The prime minister said the accelerated roll-out would help protect the most vulnerable sooner - and enable the easing of some lockdown restrictions.His new plans also pledge that all adults aged 50 and over – as well as those with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk – will be offered a vaccine by April 15.Then, by the end of July, the remaining adults in the UK should have been offered.
