Angelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christina Ricci and Jimmy Workman famously portrayed The Addams Family, the macabre clan created by cartoonist Charles Addams in his 1960s comics, which have inspired iterations in movies, TV series, video games and a musical over the years.

Huston, Julia, Ricci and Workman starred as the main members of the eccentric brood in Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1991 film "The Addams Family" and its 1993 sequel "Addams Family Values".

On Tuesday, Netflix released first look images of the new Addams Family in Tim Burton’s upcoming television series "Wednesday", starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Jenna Ortega and Isaac Ordonez.

Zeta-Jones and Guzmán will take on Huston and Julia’s roles as Addams Family matriarch and patriarch. Ortega will portray daughter Wednesday and Ordonez will play son Pugsley.

Since the July 6 Season 24 premiere on CBS, “viewers have already watched nearly 8.3 billion minutes of ‘Big Brother’ so far this summer on the CBS Television Network, Paramount+ and CBS.com/the CBS app,” per Nielsen linear ratings and Paramount+ internal data provided by Paramount Global Wednesday. That tally encompasses both full episodes of “Big Brother” Season 24 watched via broadcast and streaming, as well as the live feeds from the “Big Brother” house that are only available on Paramount+. This data marks the first time that Paramount Global has released specific viewership figures surrounding broadcast content available on Paramount+. Anna Marie de la Fuente When Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao (“Nomadland”) signed on to direct superhero epic “Eternals,” she was given free rein to take the film in whichever direction she chose. That creative freedom allowed her to shoot “Eternals” on Spain’s Canary Islands, among other sites. It became the Marvel film that shot the most on-location of any in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “You want to see the character in relationship to the world behind them. It’s very difficult to make that feel real on stage. So going to a location was a very natural progression,” Zhao says in Marvel Studios doc “Assembled: The Making of Eternals.” Canary island Fuerteventura is known for its rugged landscape and black-sand beaches. It stood in well for Mesopotamia, Babylon, the Neanderthal era and the Australian Outback in the fantasy film, which spans 7,000 years and some eight epochs. Sister island Lanzarote and its iconic and most accessible volcano, the Cuervo, also formed a dramatic backdrop, especially in the final set pieces.

Netflix has revealed a first look at Tim Burton‘s new Addams Family series, Wednesday.New images released by Vanity Fair show the cast members in character as the iconic, cooky family, including Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez.
