The deadlock remained unbroken at the University of Bolton Stadium as the spoils were shared between Wanderers and the U's. The point moved Bolton above Tranmere Rovers in the table ahead of the 3pm kick-offs on Good Friday.
And Wanderers have stayed there after Tranmere, under former Bolton boss Keith Hill, suffered a 4-0 defeat on the road against Cheltenham Town.
