It looks like the good weather could be returning this summer and with it, a desire to get outside and see Scotland in all of its glory.

And let us tell you, few places look better in the sunshine. In the past, we've covered beaches, seaside towns and picturesque villages but this time around we want to take a look at some of the most colourful, beautiful and just downright unique streets you'll find around our wonderful little country.

From the multi-coloured street that inspired a top children's TV show to the shortest street in the world, here are some of our favourites to check out this summer.

If you remember the popular BBC children's television series Balamory, you'll recognise Tobermory vibrant waterfront. All of the houses can be found here, with the Archie's Castle which is now a hotel called Fenton Tower in North Berwick.
