Other 1960s movies included “Light in the Piazza” and “Toys in the Attic.” Mimieux wrote and played the lead on the 1974 TV-Movie “Hit Lady” and appeared with Tommy Lee Jones in the 1976 box office hit “Jackson County Jail.” She also starred as a scientist in the 1979 Disney science fiction film “The Black Hole.” She retired from the screen in 1992. “Bardot, Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor are the three biggest stars and the three unhappiest.” “They might have had happiness if their private lives hadn’t been spread before the public for it to gossip and speculate.” – interview with columnist Earl Wilson in 1962 The actress, Yvette Mimieux who always called me “Angel” has passed on.
