AS A nation of dog lovers, it's no surprise that kids TV series Woof! was a big hit back when it began at the end of the 1980s.
The series initially followed a boy called Erik Banks, who could turn into a dog and go off on adventures. Eric was played by Edward Fidoe, with his ginger hair and freckles proving just as adorable as his furry alter ego.
Edward carried on in the role until series four, with his last episode airing almost 30 years ago to the day on February 21, 1992.
While Woof! carried on after his departure, Edward didn't secure any other TV roles, however his love of acting lead him to set up the Jacob’s Well theatre production company, specialising in comedy.
