William and Kate face fresh backlash as Jamaica warns they're 'not welcome'

Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to face another protest as their Caribbean tour takes them to Jamaica on Tuesday 22 March.

According to The Independent, the protest will call for slavery reparations and will take place near the British High Commission in the capital of Kingston from 10:30am.The protest has been arranged by human rights coalition the Advocates Network, which also penned an open letter to Kate, 40, and 39 year old William, listing 60 reasons for an apology and compensation from the Firm in parallel with Jamaica's upcoming 60th anniversary of independence.

In the letter, it was stated: "We also note that your visit is part of the celebrations to mark the 70th Anniversary (Platinum Jubilee) of the Coronation of your grandmother and the 60th Anniversary of Jamaica's Independence.

"We will not participate in your Platinum Jubilee celebration!" the letter continued.The open letter has been backed by 100 leading Jamaican figures across politics, business, and the clergy of arts.
