West of Scotland League could kick off as early as July 17 next season.That's the date chiefs are eyeing as they look to ward off a potential fixtures headache.A 38-game top flight and a new West of Scotland Cup competition are set to put pressure on an already heavy schedule.And with new teams poised to join the league's conferences set-up, bosses see a summer start as the best way to ensure as smooth a campaign as possible.They began hatching plans within days of the inaugural 2020/21 campaign being declared null and void last week amid ongoing coronavirus restrictions.A July 17 kick-off would see the first round of fixtures played a week after the conclusion of this summer's Euro 2020.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download.
