First dates can be pretty awkward in their very nature but add a rude dater into the mix and it is disaster central. That’s the scenario Dancing with the Stars alumni Hughie Maughan found himself in when he appeared on First Dates Ireland on Thursday evening.

Hughie’s hopes of meeting the love of his life were quickly dashed when he was paired with hairdresser Paul Smith who from the get-go very clearly wasn’t feeling his vibes.
