Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Nurses at the Vale hospital are being redeployed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley to tackle a rising number of people needing critical care due to Covid.In an email seen by the Lennox Herald, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) chief Jonathan Best confirmed the move is temporary and is due to intensive care units (ICU) “becoming very busy”.A meeting took place at the Vale of Leven Hospital yesterday (Monday) with affected staff asked to volunteer.In the message, Jonathan Best, chief operating officer of the acute services division, states that “any staff movement will be temporary and due to ICUs becoming very busy across GGC.”He wrote:.
