Katie McGlynn says she received death threats after 'extreme' Hollyoaks role
Katie McGlynn has opened up on the death threats she received after playing controversial Hollyoaks character Becky Quentin.The star, 28, announced she was leaving the Channel 4 soap earlier this month and has since opened up on the abuse she received since playing her character Becky, who was known on the soap for her racist and anti-vaxxer views.The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who previously appeared on Coronation Street for seven years, said she was threatened by vile trolls who told her to “go die” and to “watch out”.The star also explained how she received messages that said things such as “I’m going to hunt you down” and “I’m coming to get you”.
