Department for Work and Pension (DWP) can deduct money from your Universal Credit payment if you have a debt. There are a number of reasons why this could happen including overpayments,loan or advance repayments and third-party repayments.
You can view these deductions on your Universal Credit statement.To find your statement, sign into your online account and go to ‘Payments’.
