Unexploded bomb found on Scots beach as army team called in

Edinburgh at around 4.10pm on Thursday August 5. Beach revellers were escorted away from the area by Police Scotland officers for their own safety.

A large area of the beach in the capital city was cordoned off. The army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was then able to carry out a controlled explosion.
