The pandemic has caused building work to stall at the Iris, which will be based at the former Darlington Church in the town.

But that hasn’t stopped operators from showing flicks. The Iris is hosting the HB Online Film Festival tonight (Saturday, June 13) at 7.30pm.

The big screen line-up sold out at Paisley last year. The Iris director Ross Hunter said: “We are delighted to partner with The HB Film Festival and can’t wait to showcase a wealth of creative talent.
