Tommy Fury’s hopes of facing Jake Paul look to be over after his opponents’ camp ruled out rescheduling the bout. Fury and his team had been hoping they could reorganise after the original fight had to be cancelled following the Manchester-born fighter’s decision to pull out.

A broken rib and a chest infection were cited as Fury’s withdrawal was confirmed just days before the fight was set to go ahead in Florida.

Paul will instead face Tyron Woodley in a rematch, with his trainer BJ Flores confirming they will be taking on another fight after this weekend’s bout.

Fury will hope he will be the opponent being lined up, although Flores has seemingly ruled any possibility of entering negotiations again.
