This tiny robin was put to sleep after getting stuck to an 'inhumane' glue trap.The RSPCA centre in Rochdale were alerted after a member of the public found the bird with broken wings and badly damaged feathers.

They found his 'chest, legs and wings were entirely stuck, leaving him unable to escape', a post on Facebook said. Staff at the RSPCA had to make the 'heartbreaking' decision to put him to sleep, they said.

The full post, put up on Thursday morning, read: "This beautiful little robin fell victim to the inhumane glue trap! His chest, legs and wings were entirely stuck, leaving him unable to escape."A member of the public found him and called us, but we discovered that both of his legs were broken and his wings and feathers were badly.
