and it’s only taken 13 years.The Apex Centre shut in 2007 after Renfrewshire Council refused to spend £400,000 on a refurbishment.Despite an attempt by a businessman to turn it into a kids’ adventure zone, it was then  demolished.Now Ferguslie Park Housing Association (FPHA) is planning to build up to 25 homes.The 1.2 acre site on Westburn Avenue and Blackstoun Road is now overgrown wasteland.The Apex was built in 1973 and used to be a hive of activity.And it came to the rescue of 100 people who had to be evacuated in the great Ferguslie Park flood of 1994.The housing.
