hereThe latest data gives infection rates up until Sunday, August 16, as there is a delay of up to three days before the full results are reported.The weekly infection rate in Oldham rose slightly, to 84.4 per 100,000 population but there continues to be a downward trend in the borough, with cases falling by 20 per cent week-on-week.However, infection rates are still rising in Manchester, Salford and Bury.Manchester had an infection rate of 49.0 per 100,000 population in the week up to August 16 with a total of 271 positive tests.

That is up 62, or 30 per cent, on the previous week.There was also a large increase in Salford where cases rose by 32 to 95 positive tests in the week ending August 16.
